Most divers are comfortable in a 5 mm wetsuit for much of the year. In winter or on repetitive dives, a 7 mm, hooded vest or extra layer can make the surface interval and second dive feel much better.
Thermal comfort is personal. If you get cold easily, say so before the dive; we would rather dial in the kit than watch you burn through air because you are chilly.
