General

Where is Nautico located?

You can find us at Calle La Lajilla 4, 35120 Arguineguin, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.

What are your opening hours?

We are usually open daily from 08:00 to 17:30. During morning dives the shop may be closed, so message us on WhatsApp before visiting in the morning. Holiday or seasonal hours may vary.

How can I contact Nautico?

You can email us, call us, send us a WhatsApp message, or say hi through our social media channels.

Booking and logistics

How do I book a dive trip or course?

You can book through the website, by email, or by contacting us on WhatsApp. We recommend booking in advance so we can reserve your place.

Do you accept payment by credit card?

Yes, we accept major credit cards except American Express.

Do you offer group discounts?

Yes. Contact us with your group details and we will prepare a suitable quote.

Do you offer pick-up and drop-off?

Yes, tell us where you are staying in the south of Gran Canaria and we will let you know what is possible.

Diving in Gran Canaria

Can you dive all year round in Gran Canaria?

Yes. Gran Canaria has year-round diving, and the south coast is often calm and clear.

What are the water temperatures like?

Water temperatures are usually around 18°C in winter and up to about 24°C in summer.

What marine life can I expect?

Depending on season and site, you may see rays, angel sharks in winter, barracudas, sardines, roncadores, moray eels, octopuses and more.

Equipment and preparation

Can I rent diving equipment?

Yes, we rent tanks, weights, wetsuits, hoods, regulators, BCDs, fins, masks, snorkels, dive computers and torches.

What wetsuit thickness do you recommend?

We usually recommend 7mm in the first half of the year and 5mm in the second half. Both are available at the dive shop, plus hoods.

What should I bring?

Bring swimwear, a towel, sun protection, your diving certification and insurance if you have them, and any personal dive gear you want to use.

Insurance and fitness to dive

Do I need to be certified for morning dive trips?

Yes, certified dive trips require a valid international diving certification. If you are not certified, ask us about Discover Scuba Diving.

What if I do not have diving insurance?

We can help arrange short-term dive insurance through DAN Europe by IDA Insurance Limited for several durations.

What are the health requirements for diving?

You must confirm you are fit to dive through a medical self-declaration or a medical certificate. If your questionnaire requires medical review, you need a certificate before diving.

Course theory

Can I complete course theory online?

Yes. You can access course materials online, study at your own pace, and complete quizzes or exams before your in-water training.

How does PADI eLearning work?

We send you the relevant PADI eLearning. You create or use your PADI account and access your course materials there.

Do I need to finish eLearning before training?

Required sections must be completed before in-water training. It is strongly recommended to complete as much as possible before day one.

Terms of service

These terms summarize the conditions for using our website and booking fun dives or PADI courses with Nautico Diving.

Introduction

This website is operated by Sun-sub Gran Canaria S.L., trading as Nautico Diving. By using the website or making a booking, you agree to these terms. We may update them, so please review them before booking.

Fitness to dive

When booking a diving activity, you declare that you are fit to dive through a medical self-declaration or signed medical certificate. If the medical questionnaire requires review, a valid certificate is required before diving.

Certification

Certified dive trips require a valid international diving certification. We may keep a copy of your certification for our records.

Insurance

Certified divers must show proof of valid diving insurance or arrange suitable insurance during check-in. Student divers are covered under our PADI Dive Centre Insurance for the duration of their course until certification.

Rented equipment

You are responsible for rented scuba and snorkel equipment while using it. Broken or lost equipment must be repaired, replaced or paid for, depending on the damage or loss.

PADI eLearning

PADI eLearning fees are non-refundable. Course eLearning must be completed as required before in-water training, and course dates may be adjusted if required sections are not complete.

Course duration

Advertised course durations are standard minimums and may vary. Extra training may be required before certification, and additional training time may carry extra fees.

Cancellation policy

  • 7 days or more before the activity: 100% refund or a date change.
  • Less than 7 days and more than 3 days before the activity: 50% refund or one date change.
  • Up to 3 days before the activity: no refund or date change.

Data protection

Personal data provided to Sun-sub Gran Canaria S.L. is used to manage the client relationship. Data is not transferred to third parties except where legally required. You may contact us to access, rectify, suppress, limit or oppose processing of your data.
